Well, finally it looks like the 450/500mw BR diodes are going to be released . . .

according the the BlueRay standards committee.

We have waited quite a few months.

Did this ever come out? Or is this the 12X? Im debating between a 10x and a 12x but now is there another diode on the scene?

Sony has released the SLD3237VF rated @ 400mw . . .

and Sharp has stated that they have a 500mw BR diode available.

They will be out in volume in 6-8 months or so.
