After using my Laserbee and found out the 635nm laser was only doing 200mw I decided to investigate. The current was 850mA and after contacting the manufacturer I was informed the current should be at a max of 1200mA.
I set it to 1100mA to be "SAFE" It produced 490mW. My happiness only lasted 10 minutes. The laser went COD No warrenty claims
My feeling was that the 500mw 635 I bought only had a 200-300mw laser diode. Explains the current it was set to and the output.
Anyways
Now I was short of a red laser in my RGB system....so I *cough* bought a 1 Watt 650nm...should give a nice white colour balance. Gets here next week..
