@mod101 yes its an argon. its also multi line meaning it outputs multiple wavelengths, 7 to be exact at full bore 10A input. at full bore it outputs 80-100mw. there is nothing like the light and beam quality of a gas ion laser! i paid about $300 for it plus shipping. it requires a powerful fan for cooling and should never be run without a fan (despite the fact that i have a youtube video of the tube starting up without a fan, but i only ran it for 2 seconds to capture the video).

Was that 300$ for the laser and PSU/cooling or just laser. Any idea where I might buy one of these if I was to come into some money?
