What you just said seem to be the same as Sanwu's description of the two lens....
Sanwu's description
G2 - Less concentrated beam over long distances and affect the beam profile
G7 - It has the same low divergence beam profile as 3-elements lens long focal point and tight beam profile
Did I double post ? opps, if I did it was accidently, You can remind me a million times if you want but I can not guaranty with absolute certainty that it will never happen again and all the anal reminders in the world won't change that ! I know not to double post so if it ever does happen again I can guaranty that it was accidental and knowing that as long as it happens only very rarely try to bit your tongue. It's not hard.Yep, that's correct. The short RFL of the G2 results in a narrower beam at aperture, but increased divergence. The longer RFL of the G7 gives you a fatter beam, but better divergence. Both have a wider aperture than the 3 element and will give you more power than the 3 element.
Also, another reminder, please don't double post. You've been asked not to countless times. It's not hard.
what do they mean by the "tight beam profile" part of that ?"G7 - It has the same low divergence beam profile as 3-elements lens long focal point and tight beam profile"
You will like it, it's brighter looking, it will make your 445 look purple after looking at tho, it's a perception trip.
It's going to be a power increase as well from 1.33 watts to 2.0 watts so that's a plus !( Accutronitis ) i have some pictures on my profile you can see the difference RC is correct makes the 445/450nm look violet you will like the M462nm
