yeah 18650 batteries are my favorite but they are no where near the same size as a AAA.
 
Thanks alot everyone, I checked out that link, very helpful, I think, for the time being, I'll either stick to the AAA rechargeables or just buy a portable laser from skylasers, I love the idea of them being focus adjustable.
