So I have a 3405 host with a microboost, with an 18650, and all of the sudden It starts turning off about 15 seconds into the duty cycle?

Is it just running out of batteries?

Thank you.

Normally when my batterys are going dead it will blink rapidly.(unlike the thermal protection that has a slow blink)

Sometimes they blink. Sometimes they pulse. Sometimes they just go out.

Try recharging or replacing the battery

Peace,
dave

A lot of these batteries are crap. They come nowhere near the stated capacity and they lose capacity quickly after a small number of cycles.

Best thing to do is measure the battery voltage under load. If it sags much, the battery is either discharged or bad.

hello all,;)

I bought two 18650 batteries .... Panasonic and Sanyo ...
But what is the 2 small tabs?
Should he remove them?
thanks. . .

Those batteries are made with tabs for "battery packs".

Those are both great batteries. I would just bend and break off the tabs. No need to desolder the little reaming piece that will be on the top and bottom.

Anyone running their lasers at around 1000mw and use the Trustfire 18650 "true" 2600 mah from DX?
