Battery Connection

Awsome, can't wait until my driver gets here! I'm killing some batteries in my 5mW red laser right now. ;D The batteries have been in that thing for over a month, and starting yesterday, it's been on almost 24 hours straight now!! Why won't the batteries die?!?! :'(
 





Almost 48 hours, they AREN'T DEAD YET!! I hate these batteries. :P Either these batteries are super powerful, or I just have an energy efficient laser...
 
pay money for a dummy battery?? no way, there are such easier solutions. cut a piece of steel rod in the shape of a battery, use a nail, basically anything that will bridge the gap between the two ends of the battery holder.
 
Or a spring. ;D Of course I'm using a dead battery, which isn't working well (almost 78 hours and still running. Grr.).
