So very close to functionality, I can taste the brass shavings now.
By no means am I near finished, but it's a long term project, between finding parts as they come, and learning my way around the shop.


M140 axiz @2w long distance 3 element Lense (dtr)
2x AA sized li ion.
Note the last, most recent pic. I had to make a focusing assembly mount to the axiz module so I could locate it in the bulk of the heatsink, mid gun. I have plans for the barrel design that won't allow it out there... and a bunch of other reasons justifying it.

It used to be a pneumatic screwdriver of sorts. An odd tool at that.
Milled out grip to fit battery pack.
El wire and blinky lights are a later project.
Lots more machining to do for aesthetics.

Backburner project coming along. Now 100% functional!
not finished by far, but usable none the less.

guitar knob is just there because it fits the dial switch on the back.
considering using a different style knob if i find the right one

Internal focusing assembly, keeps module back in the bulk of the heatsink.
heatsink will be whittled down for style later, holes added to external housing aka "heat shielding"
I would like to add a small thermoswitch cutoff inline with the laser at some point...
