Any good heads up to match it?

They are all over eBay. Search "argon ion" or "Uniphase".

Maybe Chris will chime in about this power source.

Check out Sam's laser FAQ's to see if it is compatible with whatever head you are thinking of using it with.

{something tells me my grammar is WAY outta whack in that sentence...I need sleeps...}

Is that head a pretty Multi-line like yours?

JDS Uniphase Argon Laser Head Model #2214-30SLQTA

That tells you it's a "single line"

If you want "multi line" you need to look for one that has ML in place of the SL

I think the "30" tells you it's a 30mW (rated) head

they will work in a scanner project, the only problem is that they are big and bulky and make a LOT of heat, so they aren't really practical. Also, i'm really not sure how TTL or analog modulation works with an argon laser.

It doesn't. Electromechanical means are often utilized to block/pulse the beam.
