Are YOU a fan of scary movies? Here is a list!

i think one movie that i would honestly never wacth i the last exersist that would scare me crapless :scared:

Just watched The Death of a Ghost Hunter. Sorry guys, I was disappointed. The acting was shoddy, the plot was thin and formulaic, and their was no real element of fright because of the lack of atmosphere. I know it was an indie film, but even so I couldn't recommend it :( Especially for the tech savvy, as they may find quite a bit of absurdity in the methods the ghost hunter uses.

That being said, I'll hit off a few movies that have freaked me out (many of which you all have probably seen).

The Ring
The Exorcist
The Last Exorcism (Loved this movie, but the ended wasn't quite what I was hoping for)
13 Ghosts (Although since it's a tad bit outdated, it may look a little fake on newer TVs)
House on Haunted Hill (Again, a little older... but I enjoyed it as a kid)
The Amityville Horror (Either one... I like the newer one just because old films don't have the same crispness as newer ones do)

Also, check out Drag Me To Hell. Not really a scary movie, but OH SO GOOD!

I suppose what you find to be scary or horrific is determined mainly by your disposition toward whatever the film covers. Still, there's a small list of movies to check out.

I used to love the the old Hammer Horror Dracula Movies with Peter Cushing.
They were quite scary for a 8 year old :)

Peter Cushing, and Christopher Lee made the best horror movies if you were a kid. They dont show an 8th of those movies anymore.

That's if they DO show them any more. I've not seen any in the UK in a few years. Probably get some on cable, but not rely looked for them :)

There's a lot old horror movies they dont show anymore. It sucks. The TV plays the same post 80's movies over and over again.

When I was young tremors scared the crap out of me.
I just watched all of them with the girlfriend yesterday in a tremorathon and they were pretty funny.
Not scary but actually not a bad set of flicks.

*Edit: The first one did scare her a couple of times. There was a lot of clasping happening :na:
