Are there no Green laser Diodes?

I've looked everywhere on the web, and all I find are green lasers, fully assembled, or green laser modules...that already have everything built in practically.

Are there any appliances that I can get a green diode from (like how you get blue/violet diodes from blurays, red from CD players, etc)? Can you even buy these anywhere?

Green lasers are IR diodes shone through crystals in a certain alignment so you are unable to "Harvest" them from anywhere not unless you want to build one from scratch which is quite difficult for a noob

Green lasers diode really having made it to the commercial scene since dpss green lasers are so much cheaper to produce. You can order green laser diodes from some of the major laser maufactures if your willing to drop a grand or 2 for one.

@Gryphon Ouch....I see, So modules are the way to go. Bummer too! I barely see green lasers other than online ones!

I did hear something of an actual 532nm light emitting diode, can't remember the exact details on it... it was on here somewhere though.

There are green diodes.
But like gryphon said, they are big big money

So, answer to your question- unless you have a couple grand to spend, there are no green diodes
