Are Laserbee's as accurate at higher powers?

Yep, I couldn't agree more, and like you say, more if it's not perfectly calibrated, which I would have say applies to most everything we as hobbiests are using.
I would really like to see how far, or close mine is to a perfectly calibrated unit, or actually have it calibrated, but I'm sure that the cost would be prohibitive.
