I read DPSS is how 532nm green lasers are different than diode lasers, Are all the 532nm DPSS ?

Maybe if you cool down some red diode laser enough you can get 532 nm. :D Where do I get liquid nitrogen?

I'm guessing 99.9% of the time, I would think giving "some" room for gas unit or freak diode..

Thank you ! The reason I ask is I just bought a 532nm "303" for $13.00 dollars and I don't know anything about green lasers.....

Yea, strange enough, 532 nm DPSS pointers are cheaper than 520 nm diode laser pointers, at least, the ones you can get from China on ebay are. Luck of the draw, you might get 25 mw, you might get 100 mw from those 8 dollar China pointers, but you never know what you are going to get and 25% or more of that output power is IR for most of them, they usually don't have IR filters so you get a mix of green and IR output when measuring with an LPM.

Thanks that's what it seemed like but I don't know squat about "Green" lasers....

Wow Alaskan your "rep" is going through the roof !

You can't tell us that you never even followed post's of 532 DPSS units 301, 302, 303's, military, etc, etc. I believe most members started with a 532??
The nice tight beam but finicky output and the unstableness.;)
Anyway's for $8 to $15 the 301 are great and pretty impressive hosts. They are focusable and the only issue is you should of bought 2 as one always seems stronger.
On your signature though I don't think 80mw is a class 4.

I bought 75 of those 8 dollar pointers, have made a lot of measurements with them. The average output power is abut 50-60 mw with 25% of that IR.

No I've never followed any 532 posts as I've been pretty busy with my blue lasers, My first laser was a 445nm 1.33 watt Thor M II and until now I've been in the 445 forum mostly, I changed the class to IIIb 5mW - 500mW....

There are so many errors on that link lol. 10000mW? diode green 532? powered by ONE 18650...really now....maybe close to 1000 mw...but I doubt it

LOL, so many lies it's interesting to look at, but not buy. I bought one of these several years ago before I knew better, closer to 200 mw and crap stability.

Look at the break down pic's of it where they show the module.
It screams ebay cheapie..all glued, tiny driver..I'm thinking 50mw:whistle:
