I am designing an arduino project where I need to mark a series of objects for my robot to collect and remove. Does anyone know of an alternative to a laser designator, that I might be able to use?

I will also be using weight sensors and pressure sensitive switches in the same project.

Maybe make your robot a line follower and use a black marker or something to indicate that an object is to be moved?
