Hi everyone,
Upon looking on DealExtreme I found a very interesting looking flashlight, namely this one: New-002 Cree XR-E Q5 250lm 3-Mode White Light Flashlight - Grey (1 x 18650) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX

I would like to use this flashlight as a host for the following module (which should be a standard size):
700mW 405nm S06J Blu-Ray Copper Laser Module W/Microboost Driver & 405-G-2 Lens | eBay

Does anyone know where I could get the appropriate heat-sink for this host? Or can someone make one?
(If someone can, please be aware I live in Belgium so the shipping needs to be able to go there.)
Thank you!

Welcome to the LPF forum !
Make sure you have a safety goggle for the laser !

That is said :)
I have the host that you are referring to already ordered from DX. It should arrived at me anytime. I will look if any existing sink will fit this host. If not then Eudaimonium can make one.
The host looks very aggressive.

Yep Eud will be able to make you a great sink. After you showed me that host over @ eBay I ordered one myself.::evil:

Haha great! Except I prefer the DX host over the Ebay one, I will choose depending on the price of the heatsink + shipping.
When you get the Ebay host, can you tell me if it has a heatsink installed?

Greetings, gentlemen. Was a heatsink ever found/made for the grey DX host? I have a few of them now and may convert a couple over with modules from DTR. So far I have built two blues, using Survival Laser hosts, one 5.6mm the other is a 9mm with a 2.1A X-drive V6 from Cajunlasers. To say the DX host is "aggressive" is spot on. They are not great lights so a laser conversion would be nice but I'm also looking for a way to get more light out of them. The little Survival Lasers 1000 lumen torch puts them to shame. It's sad to see a host like that made into a so-so light.
