Anyone know of a yellow laser (and vendor source) that would be similar to this 0.8watt 532nm dpss 10X one at 0.4 miles, similar in terms of strength

Not for yellow 589 nm or any yellow wavelength for that matter. I've never seen a yellow laser pointer which can do more than 1-70 mw, if you happened to get a over spec 50 mw Spartan, you could get 70 mw.

CNI in China is the only manufacturer that makes hand held yellow lasers of any wavelength.
CNI reseller Dragon Lasers offers a few as Alaskan mentioned above.
The most powerful offered is Spartan 50mW for $399 see: https://www.dragonlasers.com/yellow-laser-pointers.html

If you want a yellow laser with higher output than Dragon Lasers sells---your only choice is a Laboratory type laser.
You can have a look at wavelengths they make here: http://www.cnilaser.com/yellow_laser589.htm
A CNI 800mW for $11,600.00 and 1000mW for $12,800.00 are available from CNI distributors---here is one in Canada: https://www.ultralasers.com/lasers-series.php?cat=35

Exactly--so far looks like the OP has never bought a laser of any kind and as evidenced by his 28 posts doesn't understand/comprehend anything about the reality of same.

My guess at this point is the OP either too lazy to use Google and/ or just a "help me" troll trolling LPF with nonsense questions or both.

remember kids if you want your laser to grow up nice and strong ("strength")make sure to feed it all it's vegetables!
