Anyone know a trustworthy seller on AliExpress by any chance?

Yes cell means the battery.
The gold plated laser your ordering screws apart in the main body. You can keep it long and use 2 18650's or unscrew the body and not use part of the host to use 2 16340's. Look at the pic's on the link and you will see.
Most lithium battery's we use are to be charged 3.7V to 4.2V. Just get good battery's like Efest and you will be fine. Make sure they are "button tops".

Nobody on LPF has ever bought that particular laser nor anything from that vendor/seller--so anything said is just a guess/speculation.

From the listing it looks like you can purchase it for either $50.11 or $64.16 --click on the photos under the price.
Appears that for the higher price you get the case and the laser glasses with it----for the lower price, no case or glasses.
Both photos show 16340 batteries however the "Description" says 18650 batteries also 18650 batteries are shown in the picture when you scroll down along with the extension tube needed for using them.

Is typical Chinese reseller ambiguity --they don't make any product they don't take any photos----very often they don't even have the product----they just buy it and have whomever drop ship it to you.

Who knows what batteries they supply with it ---the pictures show both 2 X16340 and 2X 18650.
Ask the seller what batteries come with it if any .
Nobody ships to USA with batteries included because it will get stopped due of shipping restrictions on Li batteries---maybe to Israel they include batteries-- who knows?

Edit: Is amazing what <$1 of 18k gold plating on a laser that a reseller sells for $50 retail on AliExpress (who knows what it costs to make even with accessories---maybe $$15-20, if that) can be turned into by lunatic Chinese resellers.
You can buy the same laser you found for $50 on AliEx from false representation artists "laserpointer pro" for $199 which they say is 94% off the retail price of $3,269.99 and outputs 5000mW: https://www.laserpointerpro.com/5000mw-450nm-blue-beam-single-point-copper-plating-laser-pointer-pen-kit-with-batteries-charger-glasses-luxury-golden-p-2942.html LOL
I really hope someone in China gets them shut down, and punished under the Chinese False Advertising Laws of 2015

If I had a way to shut the laserpointerFAKE.com web site down forever with a push of a button, I'd do it, even if it cost me money. You don't want to know how I really feel.

Chris, I sure know how you feel. I would put Bill Boards all over the world warning of them and even about Laserpointerstore if I could.
Starting a U tube string of attack videos would be nice..

Another thing that popped in my mind:
What will be the difference between using 2 16340 and 18650?
I mean technically, will it be less power outputted or less working time?
Assuming both types of batteries are the same voltage and whatever. (As you can probably tell, I know nothing about nothing basically)

Yes, less working time with the smaller 16340's and if the battery's are really cheap it the laser might put out less as cheap cells sag under load.
As there are so many 18650 battery's available you can find them just as cheap the smaller 16340's.
Don't fall for the "claim's" of a 16340 battery having a 1500mAh rating. The best ones only do 600 to 700mAh.
Don't fall for the "claim's" of a 18650 battery having a 5000mAh rating. The good ones do around 2000mAh.
From experience burning things gets old and boring after a while. I would worry more about following the duty cycle of the laser your planning on getting. Don't let it run for more than 45 seconds straight if you wan't it to last..
45 second on, 45 seconds off
30 seconds on 30 seconds off
15 seconds on 15 seconds off etc... I like to keep it off a little longer than on..
Just get some decent battery's like Efest's, LG's and you will see like I mentioned that you will get bored from burning before needing to recharge the good cells..

Hey
Thanks again
I think I’ll go for the cheapest option, I don’t really need the box, and as I mentioned I’ve already ordered a pair of glasses and batteries.
Because I ordered 16340 batteries, I could just wait and see if the laser arrives with 18650 batteries, and then either way I’m covered.

Regarding the update, exactly what I’m saying. If I know those sites just rip me off, I might as well try my luck with the AliEx for that price, who knows?
And even if it is a lame laser, at least my pocket can handle it unlike if I’ll purchase from one of those sites..

I see.
Well I’ve checked and the batteries I’ve ordered are 3000mAh (claims), and actually are around 350mAh (tested).
Will those be ok or are they not strong enough? Or maybe the mAh is just how much energy can be stored and it doesn’t effect the power itself? (Theoretically)

You don't get it. lol
Nobody on LPF has experience with nor has any desire to have any experience with that reseller pretending he is the real or related to the real CNI on AliExpress. The CNI guy on AliExpress is a Chinese con man/fraud pretending he is CNI. lol

Something for nothing doesn't exist--never did, never will.
The only lasers that are better cost more than you are willing to spend. You can save up some more money and buy a better quality laser or do as you are planning to do and buy one of the low end, low quality mass produced laser sold buy a thousand different make believe/pretend "Stores" on AliExpress that are just web pages copied to the Ali Express web site.

Is the photo of the laser a photo of a laser? Yes. Actual CNI laser --no. If you like that style of host better than the other one --buy it.

That laser has nothing to do with the the laser maker CNI nor it's products---told you same before--nothing on that site nor the guy has anything at all to do with the laser maker CNI.

Is no different than if you had "Tomybooy" printed on a generic $10 - $15 sellers cost laser that sells retail for $40 or $50. That CNI seller on AliEx is just another low end reseller selling the same mass produced stuff as thousands of others resellers in China sell out of the trunk of a car, if they have a car. LOL. Most of them have no stock of anything and have a warehouse somewhere in China drop ship to any customer.

Real CNI lasers are all made by the real CNI and none of them are the low cost, low end, mass produced stuff you are considering. They are the ONLY handheld lasers that CNI makes and sells--see: http://www.cnilaser.com/portable laser.htm
This vendor is an actual reseller in China of real CNI product: https://www.dragonlasers.com/

PS That AliExpress pretend "store" "CNI Lasers Offical Store" has been reported to the real CNI along with all links to it.
Should be gone/closed very soon.

You don't get it. Are you on medication of some sort? How old are you? lol

You are asking delusional level silly nonsense questions now that you already know the answers to.

I guess.
You could have just stopped for a second and think reasonably.
I’m new to all of this. I’ve never seen an actual CNI laser. You guys have. I saw that the laser had CNI written on it and thought it might mean something. That’s why I asked. Before your links, I’ve never seen what their hosts looks like, and that’s why I asked you guys as people who HAVE seen CNI lasers, if it makes any sense. If you’ve ever seen a CNI laser who looks like that.

Basically, saying no and giving me the links would have given the exacts same results minus you asking me how old I am or if I’m on meds.
Yeah, my knowledge in this field is way lesser then yours, and that is why I’m here trying to get help from experienced people.

You did helped eventually, yet you still made me feel that maybe joining this forum was a mistake prior to the help.

So as I said, thanks.
I guess.

In all honesty, Encap did tell you about them not being a true CNI product 2 times on post #2 and #4;)
Your going to at least have to meet us 1/2 way and do a little research yourself. Just scroll the forums old posts and new ones or just come to terms that your budget is say $50 and go with the gold plated unit or a Thor. For $50 that's just about the best you will get.

Hint: If you search, stay away from exotic lasers like 488nm's and more expensive 520nm's.
Look for A140 or M140 diode builds as they are now cheap. Lots and lots of threads on just how strong they are and how strong to run the drivers for them. Perfect first diode to learn about.. I'm also willing to bet the gold plated unit your getting has a A140 or M140 or similar diode.. Member Anthony gave you a link of "DTR's" store. He gives a wealth of info with every product he sells.
The bare diodes "the little tiny thing with the 2 pins" needs to be pressed into a bigger 12mm "module" and that diode thats in the module, needs to be powered and regulated by a "driver".
Just look at DTR's sight...

Yeah OK--I took some of the comments out of that post. It gets old fast spending considerable time and effort answering basic questions, most of which have no real answers over and over to the same person.
I gave you real CNI links in post #2 . You could have looked at the portable lasers they make and offer .
LPF is not generally forum to spoon feed answers to the most basic of basic questions to people who claim to know "nothing about nothing" + have no desire to help or educate themselves to be able to meet members here 1/2 way, as GSS said, before asking questions.

Given you have little if any interest in researching or learning anything about products or vendors of what you imagine you want for whatever reasons, want to spend as little as possible, and only with AliExpress which almost nobody on LPF ever uses for several reasons>>>then as mentioned in your other thread:
"maybe start with a "Laser 301 " or "Laser 303" 532nm---- you can find them all over AliExpress for the price of a good cup of coffee or a little more $3 - $10 including shipping--just do a search. Costs very little and you would gain some experience with lasers.
They usually output 50 to 100mW ---100mW of 532nm green is about/approximately as visually bright as a 1W 445nm blue laser"
