oooooh an argon? i might get that for sure! Would it be more trouble than its worth to get the laser out? and would i be able to just plug it in? I might definitely get this
This was PM'd to Muffin, but others may need this info
It is VERY unlikely that the price will remain at $10 ;D
Most experienced bidders will only bid at the last minute to avoid bidding wars with others. Especially if the auction has been posted here. There are almost 6000 members of this list that are all interested in lasers and have now been shown the auction. Many of them are older, with disposable income, and are willing to and have the time to drive several hours for a deal.
Here is a thread about the unit

They are big, noisy, use a lot of electricity, and create a lot of heat. In addition this entire unit weighs around 300 pounds so getting it and disposing of the "waste" and recycling is a problem. It is also wired for 220V mains. Unless you have 220V power, you will have to get another PSU and fan for it.
Argons are cool, but they are a lot of work. You have to store them, set them up, and tear them down to use them. You have to remember to run them every month to maintain the gas pressure at acceptable levels. They are truly a "hobby"
