Anybody Live Near Ann Arbor, MI

I guess I'll have to head down and get it. Only a little over an hour away. The only problem is I'll have to deal with the smell that always emanates from the University of Michigan campus. We all know that Michigan State University in East Lansing IS the university of Michigan. Go Spartans!

EDIT:

And thanks a bunch for the heads up. It's another thing I have to spend money on. You have no clue how much money I spent this last week on eBay. You're killing me here.

You're welcome. You could just pinch your nose closed for awhile [smiley=engel017.gif]

Take a friend and a truck. That thing weighs almost 300 pounds :o

There's LOTS of other cool stuff in there too! Plus, I made almost $50 back on mine by recycling the aluminum and steel in it ;) You may not strip as much aluminum from it as I did. I have little use for some of the "holders and carriers" of the optics in there or some of the electronics.

Peace,
dave

Wow, I can't believe those machines would ever be so cheap! :o

It happens all the time. These units (used) without the computer or software go for under $500 all the time. People don't want to pay freight on a 300 pound, used item that is incomplete. Labs and universities have to (and want to) buy new units to satisfy their grants.

IIRC this guy purchased this on one of the online used equipment auction houses I watch for about $300.

Peace,
dave

aw dang. and i have some extracted DNA from bio class :[
hah, id love that big ol thing, but unfortunately its a 3 hour drive from here.

I am the proud owner of a 96 lane DNA sequencer. Now I can finish sequencing the Chimp genome and make a race of atomic super chimps! Prepare for a new world order where the monkey spanks you! Muhahaha!

$100.00 here, woot!

You're going to enjoy yours more than I did (and do) mine. You might actually know what some of that "other stuff" inside there is ;)

You probably have access to 220V as well, don't you :(

I have GOT TO get my electrical panel upgraded

Peace,
dave
