:wtf:How do I get all this dye off my hands- its from some money I 'got' from the bank. J/K:crackup:

If your seriously talking about green dye, Huggies cucumber melon baby wipes removed any traces from my skin when I was printing... uhm.. handling fresh money from the bank. (and it smells so nice too!) Also try Dawn dish soap. It will surprisingly work!

Loctite was producing a handwashing cream called "Orangene", derived from orange "skin" ..... i had it ..... don't know about money ink, but it was able to wash away alchidic (acetone based) paint and typewriter inks, and also inkjet dyes, very well.

Vitamin C tablets crushed up and mixed in water or milk......works for methylene blue stains :p

Call the local Cops.... IIRC they have a special Bank Dye remover
department.... :eg:

Jerry knows me too well----he can spot a joke when he sees one!!!!

you other guys-- thanks for the tips anyway, those will come in handy if i ever rob a bank and get that 'special' bundle of cash.

did you not see the 'got', 'WTH'-, the 'J/K' and the laughing green smilie head??

I would hate to do stand-up with ya'll in the audience.

^^^ moar jokes!!! yuk yuk

oh i knew that was a joke but still thought u had a stain on your hands lool..
o they actually put one of those ink bombs in the money when u steal it? i thought that was just in the movies
lol

I have seen videos of robbers having go off(explode) on them--afaik it takes a LONG time to get it off. more or less semi-permanent-- like silver nitrate stains, often used to catch thieves- the powder mixes with your sweat and turns purple- I'm told. If you touch your face it stains there too.

Acetone or isopropanol work for every kind of ink I've encountered so far. You could try bleach, too I guess.

If the dye is organic, a last resort that works like a charm is caustic soda or similar. Most commonly found in Drano crystals.

Mix a small amount with water, and use a toothbrush or equivalent to gently scrub the dye off. Most of it will come off with no scrubbing...

Keep in mind that this will also attack your clothing and skin. You must be fast and avoid splashing. A protective shield may be a good idea to cover your face. And avoid breathing fumes.

I would not try this if the skin on your hands is too 'girly', or if you have any cuts still healing..

I remember . . . back in 2000 . . . my friend somehow got hold of some fake $100 bills . . . in fact I tipped him off . . .

It was the black "Federal Reserve System" stamp that was not set . . .

I licked my left thumb and drug it across the seal . . . it smeared . . .

It passed the pen test interestingly . . .

Interesting one of these bills has a red check above the seal . . .

We are lucky right now, very mild today. We get some cool weather in between the muggy and nasty heat.

Thank God for air conditioning :) Cant wait for the snow!

No I hear you . . . that's why the south SF Peninsula has some of the best weather in the world . . .

and tomatoes . . . ;)

But the best oysters among other things, come from Canada/Alaska . . .

There comes a point when you have to ask yourself, what do I like more? Bigger tomatoes? or to not sweat buckets :undecided:
