I was wondering if anyone have used the AixiZ 9mm housing before?
I can't seem to find any extra info about the rating of those lens. Seems like the lens is rated to handel up to 2W max power out put, but what is it rated for as far as wavelength goes?

These are 15mm diameter modules. We don't use them much in the build. You should be looking for the 12mm versions. Or are you building special laser with the 15mm modules ?

^^ that and the lens is an acrylic so you would not want to use them with a high power diode.:)

this is a research build, i was given a low power 980nm 9mm in size laser diode and did some googling and some reading that's what i came a cross and the dude told me it was rated like 1 or 2W
i didn't think it was true so i just wanna ask y'all

also hat is the max power i want to put though those acrylic lens?

You could always change the acrylic lens with a glass lens in a metal barrel. They are have the same thread.

What exactly do you mena by low powe 980nm 9mm diode
1mW 5mW 50mW?

1W heat disipation sounds reasonable for that module.

Heat transfer between diode and module isn't optimal. I had a M140 in this module which does 1.2-1.3W max. After press in to a copper module it suddenly change to a 2W diode :D

How did you fit a 5.6mm diode in a 9mm module?
An M140 puts out about 5W of heat, too much for this module

They make this 15mm module for 5.6mm diodes as well.:)

I do have a few of the longer 12mm copper modules for the 9mm diodes left if that is something that you would want. They are deep threaded but you will have more of a problem with that with the 15mm modules as they are really deep and with the 12mm modules you will have an easier time finding a heatsink to fit it.:)

the 980nm is a 500mw rated, seems like it is aluminum build housing

i've ordered one just wanted to see what it looks like. not sure if they don't speak english or what but it's kinda hard to understand what they are trying to say...
