adjustable focus on cheap chinese laser?

Hi everybody,

look at the pictures of this 532nm 50mW laser:

If I'd turn the lens that's threaded into the housing, I'd be adjusting the focus right?

The final collimating lens on green modules is usually epoxied in place, so that's a negative.

I see,
But if I could break the epoxy bond, turning the lens would focus the laser right?

Yes, in this case yes ..... just pay attention to not scratch or break the lens when you try to unglue it (some modules have few glue and come out easy, some others are a damn pain you-know-where to unscrew, filled of loctite threadblocker glue :p)

I did this on one of my "poorly focused" green keychain pointers recently.
If there is glue, it shouldn't be that hard to unscrew. Just make sure you don't scratch the lens or the coating on the lens.
And, if the lens becomes "loose" after you remove the glue, you can use teflon (pipe-thread) tape to create tighter threads so it's hard to "knock out" of focus.
