Achieving consistent power from cheap 5mW green

I wouldn't let them get below 3.2V. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to charge them all the way up.
Fully charged should be ~4.15V - 4.25V.
 





I just had a brainstorm. You could use a
joule thief to power the driver. It would
require some oscilloscope testing, but is
defieintly possible.
