I'm far from a moron Pi R Squared, I have not even owned a TV for the last 8 years. I am not a fool that is worried about anal probes.
A human steps on an ant and keeps right on going. Look at the rapid increase that humans are destroying the earth in just the last 200 hundred.
Everyone has their opinion and if the contact is friendly and brings no harm to humans, animals, plants or the earths resources than that is the best outcome that we can wish for.
If they can travel the universe they are so far advanced ahead of humans that they could harvest or destroy whatever they please. Who says that with just a thought they can't harm us or if they want to eliminate any possible future threat they just inject something toxic to humans into our atmosphere and keep on their merry way.
Hopefully they are so far advanced that they will not even bother with humans.
Just like you or I walk past a toad in the lawn and just keep right on going and do not even bother with the toad.

we sent out a welcome msg in 10 different languages 40 years ago, it has a map to our galaxy and a sample of our dna on it! Physicist S.Hawking says it wasn't a good idea to send a welcome wagon out there! After all, if your alone in the jungle. Is it wise to call out? Oh and this probe is out near Saturn traveling 5x faster than a speeding bullet !

Pioneer 10 & 11 each had a metal plaque with a small amount of info, but you're talking about Voyager 1 & 2 with the gold records. They aren't near Saturn, they both left the solar system years ago. Does anyone remember Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)? Where the Klingon ship found one of them and used it for target practice? Hopefully there are no Klingons out there. There was also a very powerful transmission sent from Arecibo a few years ago, but it was aimed at a very distant star, I forget where.
