Thank you for the lecture. We are perfectly aware that there are blue laser diodes in other wavelengths than 445nm. However, that is beyond the point.
The forums are based on
interest-topics, not by wavelength color classification. Merging "bluish" diode topics would simply dilute the information about, and the interest in, all the specific diode wavelengths.
The reason we have a 445nm-specific forum is because there is a widely available diode in that wavelength. Likewise we have a 405nm laser diode forum. Expanding the forum topic to "blue diode lasers" would be rather pointless since I doubt
even you would be talking about them much. Anyway, if you want to talk about "blue" lasers, go to the
Blue, Yellow & Other Colored Lasers forum. Prior to the 445nm and 405nm laser diodes becoming widely available that was the forum where "exotic" color lasers would be discussed.
