Was just browsing priceangels.com when I found this:)

It's obviously a copy of a microtech duel action, out the front knife.

I was just wondering if anybody might have a opinion if it really is duel action.
I already got ripped off once, buying a cheap OTF knife. The blade only extends automatically. To reset the blade, you have to press it down on a hard surface.
I do have one duel action OTF knife was only $20, works nicely but it looks like a $10 dollar knife.

It would be really cool if this knife is duel action.
As usual the description is useless as to what it does other then it includes a spring.

Not sure... It's definitely one of the better Micro Knock off's i've seen though. Most that I've seen though are only sinlge action like you mentioned

I think I'm going to take the plunge and get it. I would assume at $32 it should have a duel action. Too bad HonestJohn's from priceangles is not around anymore. He would be able to look into it:(

Man for $32 I hope it would be but well you never know, Do you have any Micro's in your collection?

I almost was going to get that exact benchmade and got a Boker Top Lock and machined it into an automatic. I put my micro in there somewhere.. Most poeple will probably cringe but the micro is my everyday carry

I'm geting it. I found a video of what looks to be the same knock off:)
the clip even has the microtech logo

Please update this thread when you get it.

I am curious as to how well these knives are made. I currently own a Microtech UT-X85 and as I said in another thread its a SOLID knife. I EDC mine :D

Thanks,
Jeff

sweet looks to definetly be dual action, serration is different form the priceangels though..

Yeah I EDC mine, The ONLY problem I've ever had is that the tolerances are so tight when manufactured in extreme cold it will open but it will struggle to retract. I found it heres mine in the knife thread My D/E Scarab

^^^

I'm curious, do either of you have the Halo and have an opinion on it?

I've always been torn between the two, but keep leaning towards getting one.

As far as EDC is concerned, the laws on automatics are quite a bit more strict... not worth the risk imo.

IMO the halo series is a bit too large. Plus the titanium slider that resets the blade can be annoying. Purely a show/collector knife if you ask me. I have never seen one so i cant say anything about quality.

As for my EDC. I only use mine for work. I wont carry it where I can be stopped by law enforcement unless I am taking it to a friends house. I'm not too worried about losing it as it is just a knife to me.

Auto's are illegal to carry in the states unless you have a permit to carry or are Police or Military. Legal to own though. The halo is a little over the top (and large) for a carry but is nice to show as a part of your collection ;)

Much like the polycarbonate topped scarab :D (that I will own someday...)

^^^Thanks for the input guys.

Yeah, for edc 3" imho is more or less the limit, maybe 3.25".

The halo caught my attention on 24, and I've been wanting to get one since, but it's illegal to carry so I keep putting off getting one.

Here is a quick video of a $20 duel action OTF. It's over a year old and has had plenty of use.
So a cheap knife can work. It's just cheap, looks cheap.
If the priceangle OTF works just like this, and looks as good as it does in the pic. Then I'm happy.

That also depends on what area you live in. Every statevhas its laws and some community's will even have their own laws as well.

Speaking of laws. Look up "your state" stupid laws. You will get a good laugh.
