Ok so I have several 532nm modules, from O-Like and DX. Quality ranges from bad to Ok.
Well I just played with my friends wicked laser pen. The beam is far better looking then any of my green modules. Nice tight beam with no scatter or artifacts around the dot.
Where can I get modules of this quality. I checked out both CNI and vissho. They dont have listings for 12mm modules. Are the likes of O-Like and laserlands etc. our only options? Should I buy a 150mW pen from optronics and see about ripping the module out?

i gues if you contact CNI they might be willing to sell you one..........perhaps.
and about the quality... wel you get what you pay for i gues i havent seem CNI made greens 200mw for around 120 to 150 dollar gues those would be like 2x or 3x more expensive wich would explain the sky high prices of some sites that sell CNI made lasers

I'm not concerned about price. I have a really nice custom host that I had flaminpyro do a full body heatsink for. It is really deserving a quality module.
I'll try and contact frank from viassho.

Will do, I just sent a pm to frank of Viassho. I also left a pm the other day for bootleg2go of optronics.
This is the host I have + heatsink waiting for a good 150+mW module.

CNI does sell 12mm modules they are listed as PGL-IV-532.
They are the same modules used in the pens from many companies (Nova, Dragonlasers, etc.)

Contact Glenn and get in on the next CNI GB.
Prices are relatively high (in comparison to O-like) but so is quality.

Also, they are shorter than o-like modules.

OMG! thanks so much RA_pierce.
I'm going to try and contact them about a price. I wonder if this could go on scopeguys next GB

I asked them for prices some time ago:

PGL-VI-532nm-50mW/Unit USD140.00
PGL-VI-532nm-100mW/Unit USD205.00
PGL-VI-532nm-150mW/Unit USD265.00

I would think that the prices are the same or at least similar now since this was in September of last year.

I talked to Glenn about ordering one in a GB but other projects took priority. They are definitely available for purchase.
PM Glenn and get on GB 8.

$265 for a 150mW! I was willing to go $200
Well, I know their pens have real nice beams and are almost always overpowered.
I'll have to see what kind of price glen can get, if I order one in he next GB.

I would probably go with the 100mW module. I would bet you'd get more than 130mW with the GB.
The prices are a bit high, but I think it might be worth it.
The 150 module might produce 160-180mW with a decent heat-sink.
And the best part is that they are IR filtered so none of it will be IR!
