hi there i am currently woking on a project that houses as many geeky things inside a wallet, ive got a hv supply, lasers and led torch,
but for the real geek vibe i need something that is microcontrolled, ive got access to an avr programmer and any chips you suggest, throw some ideas this way if you can. thanks
 





alarm system i looked into and the rf transmitter / reciever circuit (even using modules is quite indepth and bulky.
 
how powerful is the hv and how did you make it :-[. Maybe a tiny rfid lock
 
Hmm... what if the alarm system used the HV supply?

Say, if you don't have the accompanying rfid keyfob it zaps you...
 
when i say i have got a high voltage supply, i mean i have thought of it, though the way i will do it is 2 transformers from disposable camera flash circuits, aranged so they give 600v + and - (1.2kv potential difference) then step that up with a very compact villard cascade multiplier, the whole thing ex battery should be about 2*3*1 cm, any links to rfid locks you know?, i have thought of a locking mecanism that uses a reduced keypad, perhaps 4 keys and an avr chip to work out if the right combo is pressed in the right order,

it is a micro circuit which creates 350 V from 1.5v and it could be your wallet intruder alarm thingo

that is more or less the circuit i am using accept there is two of those tiny transformers overdriven at 4.2 volts with a voltage multiplier tagged on the end, the end result should be around 10-20kv :P
