Here's something fun I thought of today, everyone knows by sigs what lasers you have, but I thought it'd be fun to add the total of all of your lasers combined together! So, if it was possible to hold all of your lasers at the same exact point, how much power could you put on-target? I could put .52 of a Watt, or five hundred twenty milliwatts in one place, what about you?

That would take some adding, but if all laser inc. non-portables I would easily top 27 Watts! -Glenn

I have about 50 lasers, so I'll add up here, let's see ... For handhelds I am up to 19W total power. A few small labbies add up to 1.1W total. On my bench, a 60W 808nm diode bar is connected to a power supply and ready to turn on, so I guess I have one large 60W labby as well ... I'm not counting keychain 5mW pointers, or diodes not connected to a power source.

Well... I'm not much of a laser collector...
My highest power Laser is a C-Mount 3 watt 808nm..
and all together I only have about 26 Watts of Laser Power...
(that's about 30 different lasers...)

I know some of you guys have more than that in a single Laser...

Wow. I'm glad I did this, this is really interesting and impressive. Thanks to those who contributed to this post thus far and keep em comin yall.

Thanks... it's actually an entire engraving setup thats broken. The laser still works fine. I'm gonna see if I can fix it somehow, if not I'll extract the laser...

Hmm well with my RPL 350 (soon to come from Luke) i have right about 732 :) when i get my RPL i am going to try to get the RPL and my blu ray and CNI pen in the same sopt and see how fast i could cut a CD case :D

Wow, good luck, I didn't think combining power worked like that... Like, even if you were technically putting 250mW on target, but doing it with a 200 and a 50, the sum of power absorbed is equal to that of the output of the most powerful laser pointing at the particular spot. I don't know, that is more of a question...
