Howdy All I took these close up pictures last night and thought some of you might be interested in looking inside of a 9mm 635nm diode, Thanks Mike for sending the diodes to me :thanks:
in this photo you can see the photo senser aginst the back wall.

You can see the die and both gold leds going to it, both these gold leads are the same polarity.

At this angle you can see the mirroring on the face of the die.

It almost looks as if it's lit from the inside at this angle.

Awesome macro shots.... what camera do you use?
My Canon in manual focus mode can take some nice pics (see my avatar), but nowhere close as the ones you took. From the clarity of the images, I guess you have a LED ring light around your lens?

Howdy Jay no secret here I just took and old lens from a projection TV and held in front of my old brownie camra the hard part was waiting for the prints to come back from the developer LOL.....

Realy I used a cheep AIPTEC camera and hand held it on the eye piece on my AO microscope, to day I'm going to machine an adpter to hold it in place.
