Here is my latest creation. What you are looking at is a custom made Laser Pistol. I will have 3 of these completed and ready in 1 week and they are awesome!! These are very bright. and cool looking. Working on lenses as well.

These are very durable, you could run this over with your car

Here is a list of components
1. NICHIA NUBM35 455nm 74W Multiple Blue Laser Diode Chip Array/Diode is mounted on heatsink with Indium foil
2. buck boost converter
3. Spektrum 11.1V 1300mAh 3S 30C Smart LiPo Battery w/ IC3 Connector
4. 2 cooling fans/ one 20mm cooling fan and one 40mm blower fan
5. Spektrum S100 1x100W USB-C Smart Charger, SPMXC090
6. Vevor Waterproof Hard case W/Foam 19x14x5
7. Custom mounted toggle switch for trigger on/off....both fans come on with laser output
8. EMG Chassis Kit

Cheers

Very nice work! Stretches the definition of 'laser pointer' a bit 🙃 but very cool. I'm guessing battery life is around 5 minutes, correct? May I suggest future versions be set up with the battery in the grip, set up in a way the batteriy can be swapped out quickly. Just like swapping clips on a firearm, which this almost is!

Battery is in the grip, its all self contained. The thing as a beast and what i like most 9s its durrable and strong. The top rail is high grade alluminum and lower is fiber reinforced polymer.
You are correct the battery lasts between 5-10 minutes and has a run time of one minute on and two minutes off.
Cheers

That thing has to be a thermal nightmare, no way that diode will last long running on that tiny heatsink.. I have 4 of these and NUBM31/37s, NUBB23/24s… plus you’re pushing the limits of that lipo with the DC conversion limit of the driver, not to mention there’s no heatsink or cooling fan for the driver. I’m surprised the driver hasn’t failed from the low voltage limit on it. And I see that the diode isn’t fully bolted down, just using 2 screws on the same side won’t make a nice even contact on the heatsink. I would love to see this gun operate for 1 minute without that diode dimming out from overheating…

how many amps are you pushing to that diode array? That little 11.1V lipo has got to be close to its limits with that configuration..

It actually works just fine. I have two fans inside that keep the diodes plenty cool and ive been running all my drivers on these batteries for a year now and the work great. As far as heat goes I havent had any of my drivers get hot and I run this thing for around a minute each time on average at arong 3/4 power. Ive tried to kill this thing on purpose and I have yet to do so. its been soaked with a hose, had dirt in it, dropped several times and it runs like a champ. I have found I get better heat transfer using two screws with indum foil. I have two build your own kits with everthing included and two finished guns left. I also have a finished Nichia NUGM31 525NM 25W green loaded into a gun that really kicks but and looksa super cool. Cheers

Really cool builds! Nicely done..
You really don't have to explain yourself or your builds to anyone..but the info you posted does sound good. ;)

Those who criticize people and are know it all's really have a superiority complex themselves.
