Hey guys, so I finally got my diode in. I'm doing a red build obviously lol it's using the Oclaro HL63193 using the famous X-DRIVE@1a that I bought from non other than DTR... I bought the Single element lens from Thejoker. Anyway This is my first detailed build thread on here so go easy if I forgot anything. Any way lets get to it.
Here's the diode and driver It's powered with a single IMR 18650

The heat sink is nicely built thanks to Flaminpyro and fits perfectly in this host
Next I put the diode into the heat sink and into the head of the host so I could get an idea how long the leads need to be to put onto the contact board.

Next I cut the leads once I got my measurement.

Now its time to get the contact board squared away
Next I soldered the leads to the contact board and pressed it into the host, I couldn't get a picture of it because its to tight of a fit

next I put the host back together and did a test of everything and it works great.. But I broke the clicky switch a few days ago so I'm just waiting for the other one to get here..

I will add more pictures later on a different thread, I get my Nikon back this week..
Also keep in mind this is a multimode diode.
Sorry about the pictures being so big, I resized them all but it only worked for a few.. I'll keep trying.. Hope everyone likes it I know I do lol. I will add to this throughout the day and I'll try and figure out a way to get a beam shot, it's just hard to do without the tailcap. I'd have to have one hand to get the picture and the other bypassing the switch. I'll try it though. oh and I'll get it on the LPM once I get to my father's house. I'll post a video of that on here later
Peace out guys.. Justin
