Hi. :yh:

Recent 635nm 300mW diode has interesting features.

1. Vf is under 3V.
2. Case-neutral

So I can build this one with case-positive or case-negative.
In other word, I can use positive-regulator(microflex, rkcstr, groove2...), or negative regulator(amc7135..).

Amc7135 is a negative-side, fixed-current regulator, shows very low dropout voltage, and is reliable and cheap.
It is possible that 635nm with amc7135 driver is powered by a single Li-ion.

I tried to build a 635nm laser with cheap driver(2 of 7135) within Aixiz, powered by a single Li-ion.
The power (with red glass lens) is 440mW.
Not that hot.

I'll build a next one with AK-47(3 of 7135 with selectable PWM).

Hi. rhd.:yh:

Legit! 3 or 4 of amc7135 within the Aixiz!

Good job. rhd.

It really is damn amazing how well these lasers work with minimal heating. Running those old red lasers at some paltry 160mW for much time with just an Aixiz would've burn them out, but these are sending out 400mW or more with no problem.

Hi. Bionic-Badger.:yh:

Yeah. Right.
Time flies like an arrow, but the development of laser flies like a laser.

This 635nm is not a single mode then its beam is somewhat thick, not laser-sharp.
It is not suitable for burning than "old" 200mW single mode.

Uhh... Will I goto a doctor? :cryyy:
