Nice try.

Giveaways: No foreigners misspell word "the", and only advanced English users know of the word "''Tis".

In short: these are not the mistakes of somebody not knowing English, they are the mistakes of somebody pretending to not know English :D

Not that hard. Just take the thing apart and slam with a hammer on it. That'll do it.

That one looks like it has a lens in it to project lines, and not a dot. If you buy a module with the lens that projects a dot, you may get lucky and output enough power to possibly..... maybe burn. I've seen those around ebay from China. It will in no way ever be capable of 5W, but with luck you may see 40-?mw. With that and the fact that it is focusable, you may, if lucky, may be able to burn electrical tape.

However, If you really wish to have a laser capable of burning, and of any kind of quality, Much better options are out there. Now, they will be a little more expensive, but you will know what you have, and what to expect from them. I honestly would not start with this module. If you have any questions about different options please let me know, and I will help you to the best of my ability.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? Also, If you do indeed decide that you want a low power burning laser, There are many safety precautions that must be taken. First one being a decent pair of laser safety glasses. I hope this helps.

Also, I would be best to go to the Welcome section and introduce yourself properly, and tell us a little about your background.

I'm sure that 5mW diode can produce 5W, but it won't be for very long ;)

Here's a tutorial for gozert's method: http://youtu.be/NqqeX0opcO4
Note, it MUST be a cylindrical trash bin. NOT SQUARE! :D

Dispose of the bin contents responsibly too, you can't just send those materials to landfill:

ROFLMAO! :crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:
but let's give him the benefit of a doubt, he may just know nothing about lasers, and even if English isn't his second language he could still speak poor English or may just have a speech impediment.

Yeah it can draw 5 watts but not produce it. What will happen is it will immediately burn out and then maybe short to the case and draw 5 watts. ;)

And obviously your faking your language skills. No one and I do mean NO ONE who isn't proficient in English uses "tis."

the best Idea is to change the sticker, so if the sticker states 5mW you can either draw over the "m" in 5mW or put a new sticker stating 5W, Job Done ,
Also..
Make Sure you Use safety Goggles Suited for the Wavelength and read some safety Threads Around here
thankZ

Make sure you have a good ground screw too, I hear that can increase power a good amount.

Also sacrifice 10 virgins to the laser gods at midnight at the top of a mountain while a shaman chants sweet nothings into your ears.

The sweet nothings are especially important.

Hey, he could always go the easy route and purchase 1000+ modules... And sacrifice a virgin for fun.

You remember the apostrophe in it's, use the correct form of too yet can't spell the but somehow manage to in the parentheses. . If you're going to troll at least put in some effort and make it believable to someone. Worst troll attempt I've ever seen.
Bet tis isn't going how you thought it would.
