565nm From LaserLandAustralia

I already have put it into a host :)

What color correction software will you recommend for correcting color on photos?
:thanks:

Where did you get the driver for that?

I've been using paint.NET and the hue/saturation+ plugin. That one you need to download and put into the installation, just dropping a .dll file in a folder. With that you can select parts of the picture and change the hue for a range of hues, so you only change a narrow part of green. On my camera, -52 is the magic number. If anyone has a better solution, by all means let me know.

I used CNI 0-2000mA linear driver, which they use for their DPSS units, it’s called “DC 3V PCB”

Set at 1100mA

So you can order them straight from CNI. Good to know. I wonder if they'll sell me their III-A host with one of their drivers... Good time to ask, I'd love the 575 in one of those.

A buddy of mine has Photoshop and he's saying that you select by color and use that as a mask and adjust the hue on that region only. I'll have to acquire Photoshop to see how it's done

I did not get this exactly from CNI, I got this by disassembling my 200mw DL 532nm. Don’t know if they are sold separately from CNI. Need to quote them.

I sent them a message, worth a shot. If I can, I might buy a couple of their drivers and dump the rest in the b/s/t here if anyone else wants to attempt this

565nm laser has been around for many years. I forget the year but it was over 10 years ago. It was a university in japan that got one to lase. But there is probably no commercial use for them.

Then recently the University in Sydney Australia in conjunction with someone in china has done it again.

The Crystal they are using is a ND:SFAP. Other than that there is no more information as to the pump frequency. One member here did post there was no 808nm leaking out.

It could be normal DPSS or could be straight frequency doubling. The problem may be the pump diode and not the crystal.

The ones being supplied by laserlandaustralia are not the same ones from opt lasers on Alibaba. There may be more than one manufacturer. His has a G2 lens. Nothing like what has been shown here.

I am sure more info will become available as time passes.

Lets hope this turns into something better and not fizzle out with low power crappy units.

The Australian seller is still peddling those on eBay as "40-50mw 565nm DPSS True Yellow Laser Module".
Down in the description he says "produces a bright lemon yellow color." Is anythng but "True Yellow" :wtf:
The seller says the same thing in his 575nm listings along with the same very green looking photo as well?

Makes you wonder what he is doing--why he is misrepresenting 565nm.
Is not exactly an accurate or honest description. Go figure?

Maybe too lazy to take actual photos.

He opened an account on PL to post in MagicL520's thread for these that he had some for sale also. Seems it is all about moving units at the highest price.

Probably. Taking another photo is so taxing

Saw that. Appears to be a typical case of opportunistic predatory "reselleritis" .
He posted his business/product sales promotions here 3 times as well---all were removed by mods, as they violated LPF selling rules

It is the same old spam we seem to get here all the time. We do have some very good moderators here. They are quick to keep the place nice and clean.

Agree-- LPF has really excellent and dedicated moderator members--can't say enough good things about them and the good job of it they do.

I saw Nexgen's new 565nm pointer yesterday. He posted a photo of it then. Once you get the module out, you only need a low Vf driver that will drive the pump diode at 1100 mA. I am wondering if these can be pushed higher by increasing the current.

There's a pot on the driver with a warranty void sticker over it. I can very well test that but I fear killing it by accident

It would sure be nice to know the specific diode used in these. That could give us a gauge of what might be the high setting for current. Then again, one could drive it with a CC/CV power supply and find out that way at what current these could be run at. That is something I might do myself with the 575nm one I have coming.
