"500 mw" laser chinese garbage?

whoa, that is a torture test and it survived! when you say charged battery from zero to full what do you mean by zero?
and out of curiousity what made you stop the torture test? low batt? dimming? or?

Well i just waited until the laser stopped putting out light so i assumed the battery was dead (zero) hahaha how is this thing still working, i even checked the board for signs of heat or anything and it looks new

yeah i dont think alot of people test DPSS lasers for that long, maybe labbys but not handhelds, good on yah!
only thing i was going to mention is that you should watch the voltage of your battery when you do any tests like that or run the voltage low, Li-Ion batts are not considered safe to charge when taken under something like 2.7v, thats considered overdischarge,
if your lucky your laser driver might cut out before 2.7v but if not just be carefull draining li-ion batts low

So i would need to use the multimeter mid test to read my voltage right? Im a bit confused, So your saying the laser may be demanding more power during the test than the battery can supply and this is not good for the battery right? And when you say run the voltage low does that mean i have to play with the potentiometer?

-edit- nevermind about the lower voltage thing i misread it lol! I was about to say, last thing i need is to make this laser weaker than what it already is lol

Most green DPSS will still make light below 2.7V, but they will dim
below about 2.8V. When it begins to dim, it's time to recharge.

"Playing" with the pot is a bad idea if you don't have a way to
measure current at the tailcap.

From my experience with green lasers, you need to spend a lot of money in order to get one with at least 200mW of power. You might notice that any cheap green laser bought from China will not be much more than 150mW. This is just my opinion, plus I'm new to this forum so hello to everyone who is reading this.
