500-600 mw green pointer

Optotronics is the only resource I believe in for such a high powered handheld.

O-like or Rayfoss are great for 200mW or even a bit more, but for 600mW... ->Optotronics!

IMHO it seems like with O-like and Rayfoss there is a gap in quality of their products between the 150mW and the 250mW IR filtered. No good 200mW's from either of them IMO.

how? I've got the Rayfoss 200mW torch and works like a charm!

Honestly, I highly doubt the laser is really going to be 650mW BUT I'm almost sure it will be above any other laser you will find at a similar price.

I will provide a third recommendation for either Laserglow, the CNI GB, or Optotronics if you are serious about the hobby.

Blue lasers stated that a 400mW from the CNI GB will do 600mW easily... this may not be the case... I got a "freak" unit that almost always averages above 600mW and peaks in the 700's. This will not always be the case.
High power DPSS portable lasers are inherently unstable (due partially to the linear cavity design and partially to inadequate heat-sinking). A true 500-600mW "pure" green laser will be very expensive... and they are rare.

What it seems you are looking for can only be found in the Hercules from Laserglow or a Lab Laser.

If you don't mind short run times (and also a short wait), go with the CNI GB for the best price/power ratio.
If you want something that will ship faster, but a bit more expensive, go with Optotronics.
If you want something portable with rock solid performance and 100% duty cycle, your only option is the Laserglow Hercules. They are larger than RPLs or PGLs. Higher powers are available upon request.
If you are on a budget go with O-like... but don't expect too much from it.

As with all lasers... YMMV.

Your only other option is a lab style laser. I would recommend looking into CNI's products for these.

I tried to get in on the latest CNI group buy for a PGL-III-C 400mW, but Scope won't even take orders for those lasers right now, too many DOA rejects for him to deal with at the moment.

Anyway, I just ordered a 350-400mW portable green laser from o-like, it set me back $530. Susie has sold me several modules and a couple 200mW reds in the past and has never let me down. Don't care so much about the beam divergence on this thing, just looking for a huge light saber. I will test it on my Kenometer once it gets here and will give a full report.

Guys I am getting it. I may buy something with high spec for a lot of money or get staesfied with something less powerful, but much more stable. I guess there are no wonders "cheap and perfect" Great that you helped so much with your posts, now I don't have to get something which dissapoints.

O.K. I would be fine with a 400mw. I tryed to mail Glan to be part of the group by for a 400, but still no answer. Any of you have some experience with him?

Thanks!

I have rare custom build DPSS green laser output is 400 mW average an olike module was used in it's construction but the metal work was done by the best. On top that it has a screw in for a beam expander it's truly awesome. Though green lasers aren't good for burning be aware.

You might want to post your budget first. I'll takesome pictures of if interested. I want $600 minimum it will between 600 to 800 because it's a custom DPSS build. I'll post pictures if you are interested. Selling this to help improve my gun collection. Only posting as I'm curious if anyone has the money to spend on it.

What do you mean green is not good for burning?
Green is great for burning... especially with >200mW.

Actually that"s the amount I have 600-800. However reading the guy"s posts I am a bit concerned with O-Like moduls. Everyone advices against. They say they a great at 200mw, but higher..... Don't know. But I will need to know the followings:
1. how is it's duty cycle?
2. measurement fugures (mainly for avrage output, I don't want something with a lot of fluctuation, I need a stable beam)
If you can assure me of the above mentioned, and also has a fevourable duty cycle yes I am interested, please send some pictures.

Thanks!

Yes, everyone praises him I can see that in the posts and I am sure he will give a correct explonation on the O-Like diode what it can and what it can't do.

I am looking forward to it...

Thanks...

Green lasers burn black colors wonderfully but compared to a 6X blu-ray <300mW they offer little more then a light a show is what I meant. Not counting lab lasers.
