That's pretty cool really, leds that emit more power as light than as heat, even if they are UV.
This sounds like a good development for the future, even if you used phosphors to bring that light down to visible wavelength the overal efficiency would be pretty good - there is the inevitable quantum loss for UV sources, but coming up in efficiency from both the red and uv side could make for some very good light sources.
