5.1 Surround Sound Headset

Anyone have any good 5.1 surround sound headsets for the PC? (Preferably under $75)
I'm looking at the Tritton AX PRO for $180, but since I can use it with both my PC and Xbox 360 I wouldn't mind paying that much for it.

The fact that you can have a 5.1 system on your head though you still have 2.0 ears boggles my mind.

I have a Tritton AX51 headset and the sound is incredible. But you need to already have a 5.1 sound card for them to work.

I'm on my second one, I wore the 1st one out. It's true 5.1, and it rocks!

The fact that you can have a 5.1 system on your head though you still have 2.0 ears boggles my mind.

The way we percieve the location a sound is coming from does however depend on the exact shape of our individual ears, so that is difficult to translate to a signal in, for example, in-ear buds. It would be possible, but have to be individually adjusted to get exactly right. In that respect it could work to have a large shelled headphone with speakers at various positions, though i think its overkill.
