I thought I'd share my build pics of my 4W 465nm NUBM07 that I built sometime in 2017. Module was from DTR with an X/Drive preset to 3.5A. The build was from a T-6 flashlight and aluminum heatsink that I had turned and powder coated at work. The fab company I work for has a lathe but it is extremely difficult to get signed off to run it, otherwise I think I would have alot more builds by now ;). Below are some build pics and nightshots. Some of the images were taken alongside a 2W 445nm M140 (which I sold last year).

Wow those are some nice beam pics:)
So you did decan the NUMB07? It's such a pretty color..
Having to wait for the lathe and probably rush to finish is a bummer. Just for curiousity how much lathe time do they give you?

The diode was already decanned when I got it from dtr, not sure if he did it or got it that way? Unfortunately they don't give me any lathe time. The guy in charge of machining helped me make a couple heat sinks, and gave me a crash course on it, but I'm 'technically' still not signed off to run it.

Yes probably Dtr de canned it since you ordered the lens..
In time you will learn;) and having access to that lathe will be fun:)

So I finally found the video that I put together of the drone footage from the 4th of July 2017. I hope you guys enjoy this perspective. The lasers in the video are 445nm M140 and this 465nm NUBM07E build. I "think" the lenses were G-2's, but I honestly can't remember for sure.
Full Disclaimer: This video was shot on a clear night, with good visibility. Everyone on the ground was constantly making sure that the sky was clear.
