That's correct, I put a large nail in the cork and the whole projectile flies far and straight with good penetration. Recently I saw a blog about someone else who made an air gun that fired rubber stoppers. Anyway in his conclusion he calculated the muzzle energy Joules Next week based on his model and formula for ballistics gel I might try the same experiment with my air cannon.

for New Years I'll be at a friends house on the coast so I brought the cannon for entertainment and Ill see how far a spud can fly into the ocean. :D

Just from spud gun experience, the projectiles I fired never seemed to fall. They just got smaller until I couldn't see them anymore haha.
