Good day dear readers. This is my first review on this forum, so do not judge strictly.
The idea to make a blue 445nm laser, I had a very long time (~ 1 year ago). 've Been thinking how to implement a collimator (to use a standard Aixiz, or order a machined on a lathe). The choice fell on the second option. Collimator machined from duralumin and anodized in black. Driver - 18V 5W Cree Circuit Board for Flashlights (16.8mm*5.5mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme current ~ 1.23A. Power at this current ~ 1.2W. Optics - Glass Aixiz 445nm.
It turned out pretty not bad. The laser has been living for ~ 2 months. Everything is fine. Burns certainly much paper, wood, plastic.
Here's a photo report from the video.
P.S. I apologize for my bad English
