445 m140 in a c6 host

Almost forgot to make this thread cause I was viewing other threads and ended up forgetting. So I was on my way to buy the s4 host from SL for my upcoming 488s( yes two but shhhhhh. one is going to a very special custom small form factor host that I got {diameter the same as the sanwu pocket but about 20mm longer}[also got measurement on the exact outp wavelengths 488.2 and 486.7]). Anyways I almost got that but I though "f it the c6 looks not that bad ill get 2 c6's!" and yea I got 2 and a 1.25A driver and a blank bat contact board. Can you guess whats the 1.25A driver for? Ding ding you're right the m140 I had for almost 6 months! without further ado ill let the pictures speak for themselves! (this is a junky one cause it turned out the module I had the m140 in is an 18mm one not a 12m m one so I had to *improvise* a bit. pic of me soldering leads ofc I removed the extras:

This is how you learn. You will want to press your diodes into the module first before doing any soldering to it. Looks good. Glad it all worked out for you because the learning curve sometimes comes with a cost.

Yea I would do that and FYI I had it in while soldering to dissipate the heat but you see this module ain't press fit its the odd 18mm type from eBay where you just put the diode trough a hole and then screw it into the 2nd part smashing the diode between 2 aluminum pieces amazing for heatshinking but -2 points for practicality.

Yikes! I wouldn't use a module like that for high power diodes. You need more surface contact to allow heat to flow out of the diode than that could possibly provide. ;)

Someone out your way just might be able to a machine a couple simple AL sleeves. :)
ID of 18mm and what ever the inside of the C6 host is..

Iv'e seen 20mm ID with a 25mm OD AL tubing for sale before. Can't remember where but even though it's not the size you wan't, it might be out there??

Yea sadly that was the only thing I had on had. My 488 diodes are press fit into normal 12mm axiz modules and I have hosts for both basically waiting on some $$ to buy drivers rn I found an amazing member that is willing to sell me 2 ACS500SE drivers for 30 euros shipped!
