whats the difference between a motor and galvo :-[

Motor can do full rotations, at a relatively low speed, whereas galvo's do not spin all the way aroun, they just move back and forth very rapily. DMX stands for Digital MultipleXing, and is just a control protocol used mainly for stage lighting. it works OK for controlling lasers, but you cant do anything custom.
