405nm bluray diode macros

My bluray recently died from unknown causes so I took the diode below the threshold (still lases at about 1mW) and took these pics, I thought they were pretty interesting

That is interesting!Judging from those pics it looks like blu-rays also have that line through the dot like the dvd diodes, only it's too dim to notice them? :-/

diodes from PS3 display that pattern and shape at higher powers too (5-15mW) If you have one just look at the projected dot carefully at like 30 feet (10m)

Maybe on a fluorescing surface it would be easier to notice? :p
