Literally just a selection of 405nm beamshots on long exposure. One is a cheap 850 host 405nm, around 50mW or so. The other is an 800mW - 1W by Sci Fi Lasers. Enjoy :D

That's all for now :D :thanks:

These are the pics that make me want to have a ton more money...
I luv it +rep

Nice pics there, as others have said a tricky wavelength to capture! Every time I see your shots I realise I'm missing a decent camera!

Very beautiful color, my iPhone camera won't capture the beam nearly that bright, maybe 10 percent as bright to my camera, here's why its so dim compared to green:

This time of year I can't play with my lasers at night, it doesn't get dark enough and it's going to continue getting worse for another month.

Thanks everyone :)

Yes it's summer here in the UK also, I stayed up til around 2 AM to get these.

I'm going to start incorporating more interesting backgrounds and make long exposures in interesting places using lasers soon...

I'm incredibly busy at the moment :D but soon :D soon there will be more pictures :D if there is anything you'd like me to photograph feel free to suggest something guys :thanks:

@Alaskan @Aardvark777

You both are lucky! Im only at 38°50'N so we have about 4 hours of true night. I plan to move farther north, possibly around 54°N so it still gets dark during the summer nights(enough to sleep) but sun illumination is still barely visible at the horizon :D

Mmmm, I absolutely love when purple beam shots turn out in photos AS purple, not blue :) Incredible long exposure shots, +rep indeed!

Beautiful beamshots! I've only ever seen a ~50mW 405nm beam when it was foggy outside. This encourages me to finally get that BDR-209 16x diode from DTR and build it in one of the many hosts I have laying around.

Thank you everyone :) much appreciated! I'm hoping to be able to get some more beamshots soon.
