Hey I have tested at least three >400 mW lasers from CNI. I want everyone to know these facts from mine and other well known peoples experiences:
These high output portables lasers are touchy, a little different temperature and they may not preform as expected!
They will either start low peak after a bit of "warm up" or start a with little to mid level power, peak and soon decline sharply in output, or be quite variable.
The output will very likely not be 75% of peak power for more than 20- 30 seconds!
The unit will drain your wallet faster than it's batteries!
The 150 to 180 mW unit will look about as dramatic under most circumstances.
A Lab laser is actually likely to be a better use of the $ these cost!
And, IMHO, A measure of how peculiar a person is, c/b partly determined by them "needing" one of these, yet having no real scientific use for one.
