Remember, a butane lighter works fine, positioning the heatshrink tubes away, over the flame. Around 2inches away from the flame it is still hot enough to shrink the tube.

remember: do this with the diode pointing "forward", perpendicular, so the only thing that heats is the wires/pins/heatshrinks.
