My laser came yesterday and because it can use both 3.6 and 3V batteries i tried to see the difference.
The first picture is of a 3V lithium battery.

and this picture is with my 3.6V rechargeable lithium

So as you can see, if your laser can use them; buy some 3.6V batteries for your laser!

Did the 3v battery come with the laser? If so, it might just be a bad battery, usually the batteries they send with the laser are the cheapest of the cheap. If you have a multimeter try testing the voltage of that 3v cell.

If that battery isn't dead than that means the laser you used isn't regulated.

i just tested them, the one that came with the laser is only outputting 2V and the 3.6V is putting out 3.5V So that makes more sense :)

and do you think that the battery that came with the laser is rechargeable?

Doubt it. But hey, when it dies try and charge it, what could possibly happen? ;)

I'm gonna guess and say that the battery is not rechargeable. Please don't go see if it is. ;D

hahaha nice. Just a update on my laser. I pointed at some clouds tonight and you could see the dot on the cloud. 8-)
