Hello everybody, I need to make a 250nm laser. Anyone have a ideia how to make this laser?

250nm laser radiation is quite dangerous as it is carcinogenic. Also, UV lasers in that range are not something most people can just throw together in their spare time.

Isn't that going to be some kind of frequency doubled 532nm? I remember a UV laser, (266nm I think), being for sale here a while ago. A practice for some is to remove the frequency doubling crystals to get a high output 532nm from these models but it wrecks a perfectly good and well engineered laser.

Does it have to be 250nm? What's it for? I don't think this will be cheap or easy but I am prepared to be wrong.

I will use to make a project. I can't tell my project here because first i'll make the patent of my project. But I need a high power laser that go between 250nm to 405nm. If I use a 250nm I'll have a better performance.

maybe you shouldnt be counting on other peoples knowledge for capital...

and sorry, but inb4dlock.

Did you not read EF's post? 250nm is carcinogenic as it is ionising. I doubt any product in the world will be allowed that outputs ionising radiation! Below 390nm, (I believe), is considered risky. How are you going to use invisible or near invisible light for a projector? Are you thinking of relying on flourescence to play a part in the colour mix? Forgive me for saying it but are you sure you have properly thought this out?
